In this class, students learn what it's like to produce a daily television newscast. The lab for this class consists of producing a daily, live television newscast, seen on KBYU-TV, Channel 11 (Salt Lake City DMA).

Recognized as best in the nation

In April 2008, BYU's daily student television newscast was recognized by the Broadcast Education Association as the best in the nation. It won first place in the BEA's Media Arts Festival. The newscast was produced during the Fall 2007 semester by students in Comms 385, Television News Producing. (See news release)
